In addition to medical scree­ning by a doctor, the parents-child health pass­port pro­gram in­cludes an ad­visory con­sulta­tion with a mid­wife (for women in­sured under social security in Austria).

This provides information about pre­gnancy, child­birth and the post­natal period, options for pre­natal classes, exer­cise and nutri­tion during preg­nancy, choosing where to have your baby, pre­paration for breast­feeding, and in­formation about the first days with your baby.
