A balanced, varied diet is an important requirement for good health, wellbeing and productivity. Our dieticians are happy to provide advice – on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Outpatient advice

Outpatient advice is available for all patients to enhance good health and for preventive care, to help you stay healthy for many years to come.

In the treatment of certain illnesses such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, and gastrointestinal diseases, or as support in certain stages of life such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, or old age, a major role is played by personalized counseling and support, based on the latest discoveries in nutritional medicine.

An initial consultation with a dietician addresses your personal nutrition questions (approx. 50 minutes), and includes preparation and implementation of a nutritional therapy plan. Subsequent consultations (approx. 30 minutes) check your results and progress, and adapt the nutrition plan as required.

Inpatient consultations are free. Our dieticians will help you to prepare a personalized meal plan, to speed your recovery. For breastfeeding mothers staying in the hospital, there is a free presentation every Tuesday at 2 p.m. (except public holidays) in the baby feeding room.

Holistic weight management using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA)

Modern nutritional medicine assesses nutritional status primarily by means of body composition. BIA is a rapid, reliable and non-invasive method of measurement for determining body composition and better evaluation of the nutritional status.
By attaching electrodes to the wrists and ankles, individual components of the body such as total body water, muscle mass, and body fat can be measured. Particularly for weight reduction or in the case of chronic illnesses, BIA offers the best possible progress monitoring and optimization of nutritional therapy.

Applications:

  • Obesity
  • Gastroenterology
  • Oncology
  • Catabolic processes
  • Orthopedics
  • Clinical nutrition
  • Geriatric care
  • Cardiology
  • and much more...

Bioelectrical impedance analysis takes approx. 30 minutes.
