Under certain conditions, the IVF Fund will cover 70% of the treat­ment and medi­cation costs. The patients are ex­pected to pay 30% of the costs per at­tempt. Na­turally, we would be happy to answer any ques­tions you may have on this topic.

A brief summary of the conditions that must be met for cost coverage

  • Medical indication (at least one criterion must be met):
    • Functional disruption of the fallopian tubes (tube block­age)
    • PCO syndrome
    • Endometriosis (surgically con­firmed)
    • Male infertility (patho­spermy)
  • Age: The woman may not be older than 40. The man may not be older than 50.
  • Health insurance: Both partners must submit proof of co­verage by a statu­tory health in­surance fund, a health­care assis­tance orga­niza­tion or a private health in­surance pro­vider (in­cluding proof of con­sent to pay the re­maining share of the costs).
  • Main place of resi­dence: At least one of the part­ners must have their main place of resi­dence in Austria.
  • Nationality: Special rules apply depen­ding on natio­nality.
