Relatives, friends and colleagues are always welcome to visit – after all, visitors help our patients to recover quickly!

Visiting hours

We have very flexible visiting hours. However, we ask for your consideration during our nighttime quiet hours, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. From 9 p.m. onwards, the main hospital entrance is locked. Please use the bell next to the main entrance.

Information for visitors

Being careful not only protects your loved ones, but also other patients and the hospital team.

Are you healthy yourself?

Please do not visit if you have a contagious illness – the immune system is weakened when people are unwell. In this case, please telephone the patient instead.

Hand hygiene is important

Please take care to wash your hands when you visit someone in the hospital. Hygienic hand sanitizing is the most effective way to prevent hospital infections. Please use the Steripower® contactless hand sanitizers installed in the Reception area and on every ward.

Resting periods

After an operation, patients often need more rest than usual. If the patient has several relatives who would like to visit, please arrange this amongst yourselves in such a way that the patient has plenty of time to rest.

Flowers as a gift

Please note that for reasons of hygiene, only cut flowers are permitted in patients’ rooms (no pot plants, please).

Please note:

We are committed to protecting our patients’ privacy. For this reason we do not allow photography or filming within the hospital premises. This measure also serves to protect the personal rights of all individuals in the hospital.
Media representatives are requested to contact the Director’s office or Communications in advance.

Support from relatives

Relatives and trusted friends can be a great help to patients. Whether for psychological support. Whether to help keep an overview of all the information provided.

  • You are welcome to accompany the patient to medical consultations or discussions with the nursing team, and help the patient keep track of everything that gets mentioned
  • Afterwards you can chat with the patient about any concerns he/she may have.
  • If you are not sure how you can best support the patient during his/her hospital stay, please ask the care team for advice.
  • The medical team is not able to give information about the health of a patient to anyone else without the express permission of the patient. This means the patient must specify you by name if you are a trusted person who is entitled to receive any such medical information.

Companion/helper

A patient’s companion or helper is welcome to stay overnight at Confraternität & Goldenes Kreuz Private Hospital if you wish – for more information please contact our Admissions office. We ask that patients’ companions bring their own clothing and toiletries.

If you would like your child to be admitted with you as your companion/helper, you take full responsibility for supervision. Please see our terms and conditions for the admission of children as patients’ companions.

There are also several hotels and guesthouses near the hospital where your accompanying person can stay overnight.
